Brooklyn Funk Essentials

A concert with an irresistible groove. Hailing from the four corners of the globe, this collective of seven New York musicians and poets has been bringing audiences to their feet at the biggest festivals. In concert, the group juggles with the same fury between torrid funk, ethnic jazz, live hip-hop, raw soul and world escapades. For more than twenty years, they have navigated between the love of jazz and new influences, distilling the best of black music with an inimitable groove. An explosive evening to end the season.

Opening act: La Roda Minima.

La Roda Minima plays an original and explosive forró. This quartet creates its own jazz funk folklore freely inspired by the repertoire of the popular dances of Nordeste in Brazil. Close to the audience, the musicians draw their energy from street music to share their luminous and dancing imagination.
