Emile Parisien has established himself as a major musician on the French jazz scene. Surrounded by exceptional American musicians, trumpeter Théo Croker, bassist Joe Martin and drummer Nassheet Waits, associated with two great figures of current jazz, guitarist Manu Codja and pianist Roberto Negro, he presents “Louise”, a tribute to a series of sculptures by Louise Bourgeois that celebrates the maternal image.

At the dawn of his fortieth year, Emile Parisien signs an album that resembles him, off the beaten track, mixing the Afro-American tradition, European jazz and the
tradition, European jazz, popular tunes, fusion swerves and experimental commas. This brand new and wonderfully intriguing sextet promises us a great moment of music.

An evening of Jazz des cinq continents in partnership with the City of Miramas and the Théâtre La Colonne Scènes&Cinés, scène conventionnée art et territoire, and with the support of Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence.
