Julien Alour Quartet

The trumpet player Julien Alour will present his new album "Light in the box". 
For this album, the composer wanted this time the trumpet alone and clear, on themes with very marked melodies, wrapped by the Fender Rhodes (played by Simon Chivallon), a decisive choice since quite rare in a recording of jazz quartet, a "pillar" and groovy double bass (Yoni Zelnik), and a pictorial and daring drums (Elie Martin-Charrrière) bringing a modern and unexpected sound. We find again the characteristic humor of the trumpeter's playing that we discovered in his first albums, but with a new and biting intensity, not conventional.
