Carte Blanche To Alba Obert

Alba Obert and Nina Gat start working together at the beginning of 2021, quickly a complicity is forged between the two young women who will quickly carry out various projects and tributes together. The latest was a tribute to Stéphane Grappelli and Michel Petrucciani around their album "Flamingo". Today these two musicians have decided to take over the repertoire of another great musician: Joe Hisaishi. Composer of the soundtracks of those of the films of Miazaki, the two musicians wanted to challenge themselves, to take up some great themes of his repertoire in order to arrange them in duet and especially by merging it with the sounds of jazz. Sometimes bright, sometimes dark, dreamlike melodies rub shoulders with more timbral atmospheres. The goal here is to reconstitute the symphonic universe of the Japanese composer through piano/violin material and with the addition of electronic elements to complete it. With this concert, expect to discover a contrasting sound world where softness, violence and color come together in harmony.
