Julie Saury, Bruno Rousselet and Fred Couderc, eminent interpreters of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn in the Laurent Mignard Duke Orchestra for 20 years, have come together to adorn their melodies with unexpected colors and take them on a journey to new lands. The percussions, the flutes of the world (Bansuri, Ney, Pivana...) or the English horn open up new horizons. Sébastien Giniaux accompanies this exploration, both with his guitar and cello playing and in his approach as a painter.... As for Claude Égéa, lead trumpet of the Duke Orchestra, his immense talent came naturally. Here is another look at the wonderful music of the Ellingtonian repertoire, filled with love and respect for the Duke and his partner Billy.
