Petter Wettre Quartet

Over the years, Petter Wettre has released 17 albums as a leader in a variety of contexts: solo, duo, trio, quartet, quintet, with orchestra ... where we find him mainly with his quartet but also alongside Joey DeFrancesco, Kenny Wheeler, Adam Nussbaum and Manu Katche. Within all these formations, there is an exercise which he has rarely tried: the ballad. So it seemed natural to him to focus on this format for this album. The title of this 18th album is unequivocal. The Last Album will be the last piece of Petter's discography. This "swan song" was decided after two decades of producing albums on his independent label Householde Records with all the difficulties that this represents. Breaking with this self-production marathon, he is happy and proud to work with the famous Norwegian label Grappa for The Last Album.
