KLEIN (Royaume-Uni) inédit
The indefinable Klein, a multi-disciplinary artist with a voracious and prodigious curiosity, seems to have no limits to what she can absorb. Musically, gospel as well as classical, R&B as well as free-noise, musical comedy as well as dark-ambient... But not only. A cheeky jack-of-all-trades, the Briton displays a dizzying nebula of works that goes beyond the musical genre: performances, soap operas, video-textual online adventure games... A fascinating futuristic patchwork that draws a new experimental and sensory folklore, deeply singular and generous. At Banlieues Bleues, she presents a duet with saxophonist Khush Jandu Quiney, a performance full of mirrors and secrets.

+ POLLUTION OPERA - ELVIN BRANDHI & NADAH EL SHAZLY (Royaume-Uni, Égypte) création
These two captivating musicians, at the forefront of the decompartmentalization of forms and cultures, shatter the norms of the female vocal and musical spectrum. Welshwoman Elvin Brandhi and Egyptian Nadah El Shazly cross their parallel trajectories to create at Banlieues Bleues the first act of an "opera" on pollution. The idea came to them during a motorcycle ride through the streets of Cairo. "In the midst of the din of the engines, the saturated air, the chaotic rhythm of the traffic, we wanted to reappropriate this volatile dirt resulting from industrialization: pollution, atmospheric, sound, mental. How to re-establish our poetic intimacy in a dissonant ecosystem? How to live at the time of a universal crisis? These two artists, in total (im)relevance with our time, have answers!
