Once upon a time, at parties in the suburbs of Lisbon, a handful of young DJs had fun crushing the Afro sounds that cross the Portuguese capital with dissonant electro and techno. This implosive cocktail made the windows of the low-income housing projects vibrate, until the label Príncipe took on the mission of spreading this scene in the downtown clubs. Today, the whole world listens to the "princes of the Lisbon ghetto", whose elusive rhythms have shaped one of the most innovative sounds in dance today. Enter the trance, with three of the label's spearheads, DJ Narciso, DJ Nigga Fox and veteran DJ Marfox.
