Carte Blanche To Alba Obert

The group meets in 2019 at Didier Lockwood's music center under the impulse of Alba Obert who brings her first compositions. Despite the health crisis, the group manages to record an EP of four tracks that they will choose to release after the pandemic in June 2021. Shortly after, the group wins a springboard allowing them to make the first part of Rhoda Scott in Barbizon (77). They then went on to perform at the "Respire Jazz" festival and the "Art District Radio" festival in Paris. There, the quartet is spotted by the label "Art District Music" which will follow the various concerts of the group a few months before producing their first album. Recorded at the Sextan studio in March 2022 after several creation residences at the Didier Lockwood Music Center and at the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin (HEAR), the album "Kaleidoscope" was released in 2022. It was warmly received by the press with various articles in Jazzmania, la gazette bleue and Culture jazz. Jazz Magazine selected it among the "revelations" of the month of November. Very welded, the members of the group arrange the compositions, mix and realize the clips and the live sessions.
