Yuval Amihai Quartet With Julia Perminova

Guitarist, composer and jazz educator, Yuval Amihai has quickly become a major voice on the French jazz scene. Multiplying prestigious awards, he released three critically acclaimed records in France as a leader. Since 2018, he has been living in the United States and working with the best musicians of the current New York scene.

In 2022, Yuval released his fourth album as a leader and his first New York album, "My 90s Summer" with some of the most important active jazz musicians in New York today including Grammy-nominated pianist David Kikoski. In this project, he embarks on a unique and exciting musical journey that began in a small town in southern Israel, in the Negev desert, during a summer in the 90s, through Paris, to the world's most vibrant jazz scene in New York City, all the while demonstrating his mastery of his craft as a jazz artist.

For this concert at the Baiser Salé, the guitarist invites double bassist Yoni Zelnik, drummer Raphaël Pannier and pianist Julia Perminova, who, since her first year at the Moscow Academy of Music, has won numerous international awards and played with musicians such as Lionel Loueke, Jorge Rossy and Miguel Zenon.
