Tchavolo Schmitt – Miri Chterna
Jazz

Today and as in everything related to jazz… gypsy jazz has been able to revolutionize itself while cultivating its history and remaining popular. We saw the arrival of guitar geniuses, young people passionate about this heritage, we ended up hearing this music everywhere and Sanseverino or Thomas Dutronc knew how to popularize this art of the "six strings", which deserved a large audience. In the midst of this hubbub, Charles “Tchavolo” Schmitt is a reference, he is a landmark. He personifies a forgotten art. A “way” that we thought was forever lost in the twists and turns of jazz history. Listening to Tchavolo is like sneaking into the alleys of the Puces.
