FUNDAMENTUM is the first album of double bass player Antoine Brochot. It offers a modern jazz, tinged with accents, whose roots are nourished by the current New York scene. Led by a rhythmic pattern that is sometimes impetuous, sometimes meditative, this first opus, in quartet, gives free rein to magnificent moments of improvisation that impart an energizing lyricism throughout the 7 tracks.
