Mamaveï

Mamaveï is a jazz octet formed by bassist and composer Maeva Grünwald-Rodès. Her compositional work is inspired by old melodic snippets, from the time when rock and metal occupied her sound landscape, and by the seven musicians who accompany her.
The octet seeks, explores, experiments, and reveals a contrasted writing, nourished by improvised moments. The eight musicians, very active on the Parisian scene, bring together their diverse experiences and influences to create a singular sound: it is Mamaveï that traces its path.
