Nicolas Attie

Nicolas Attie is a jazz guitarist from Guadeloupe. It was at the age of 20 that he immersed himself in the captivating world of jazz. He quickly developed a strong interest in harmony, which led him to learn from great masters such as Pierre-Alain Goualch, Sylvain Courtney and Eric Hurpeau, as well as the art of composition under the tutelage of Rémi Chaudagne. These mentors enabled him to hone his skills and enrich his sensitivity and personal vision of music.

On his island, Nicolas has forged a solid reputation as an accomplished artist, and his distinctive musical style subtly blends traditional jazz influences with modern elements. The cultural richness and haunting rhythms of Gwoka also permeate his music, adding a unique touch to his artistic expression, creating a captivating and timeless musical experience.

Over the years, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such talented artists as Ben l'Oncle Soul, Stevy Mahy, Domi, Xavier Richardeau and Yves Torshinsky. These exceptional collaborations have enriched his musical experience and enabled him to explore new artistic horizons.
