Catia Werneck, singer with the "Brazil Tropical" revue, moved to France at the age of 21. Since her debut album "Estrêla do Sultão" in 1997, she has travelled back and forth between Japan and Brazil, where many of her albums have been released. She's one of those artists from the upper echelons of the music world where the unclassifiable and the musical come together. Imagine a world where bossa nova meets Soûl, Jazz and Pop... Catia Werneck has a great voice, a smile and a dose of positive, rhythmic energy...!

Tania Maria sings in English and Portuguese, mixing jazz, pop and blues, choro and samba. In addition to her deep voice, her style is particularly recognizable in the way she scats or whistles and simultaneously plays her melodies on the piano. With her Tribute to Tania Maria, Catia Werneck sets herself a new challenge. At her side is Noé Chantraine on piano, and a formidable rhythm section with Benjamin Asnar on bass and Tilo Bertholo on drums!

The album is in the oven... That's promising!
