Originally from the Paris region, Matis grew up in the south of France surrounded by a family of artists with a composer father and an author mother. He made his first steps at the Perpignan conservatory. DEM in hand in 2021, he decides to settle in Paris, begns to frequent the city's clubs and gets involved in various projects. The same year, in September, he joined the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB) where he is currently continuing his musical studies, notably with Martin Wangermée. His influences include Robert Glasper, Kendrick Lamar, Nick Hakim, SiR… and are inspired by renowned drummers like CJ Thompson, Justin Tyson, Taron Lockett, Rico Nichols…
