Blue Jay Quintet

Influenced by Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea in their funk period, hip-hop jazz of the 2000s, or the current London scene, the musicians of the Blue Jay quintet offer original music in a set entirely turned towards composition. Blue Jay is the meeting of five musicians in search of groove. The synthesizer textures are the symbiosis of the band whose guitarist, inspired by Hendrix’s playing and Prince’s groove, brings a rock touch. The hip-hop culture of the drummer and the P-Funk passion of the bass player support a killer groove. The saxophonist, by his explosive presence, creates a strong link with the public thanks to his overhead lines! Blue Jay released his first EP «Miroir» in May 2023. He was a finalist of the Golden Jazz Trophy 2023 in Lille.
