Oscar Teruel Trio

A pianist originally from Provence, Oscar Teruel moved to Paris in 2022. There, he met drummer Jules Wallemme and double bassist Anthony Jouravsky, forming a trio with a strong personality. Influenced by the music of Gerald Clayton, Brad Mehldau and Ambrose Akinmusire, the group offers an airy, energetic sound through its original compositions, exploring together the different sonorities of their instruments. This trio, drawn from the young contingent of the Paris jazz scene, attempts to escape the instrumental and sonic limits that the jazz trio formation can impose, blending lyricism, improvisation and exploration.
