Jam Session With François Constantin

Last day of the 18th edition of the #MarathonFestivalEstivalDeJam 32nd day of jam before the Resumption at the Club of the famous Sunday and Monday Jam Sessions which we no longer describe.. There are artists who define themselves, like their peers in the history of arts in the West until the end of the 18th century, in the manner of artisans (“Do we know the names of the authors of the cathedral of Chartres?” the filmmaker I. Bergman once wondered) and others who have since taken on the pose of the artist-author. To this fashion we owe directors greater than the playwrights, conductors more beautiful than the composers and so on. And then there are those finally, our contemporaries, who without necessarily having sought it strive to maintain the balance between the two. Sometimes serving the collective or other performers and sometimes working on their own behalf. All this to say that guitarist Olivier Louvel belongs to this category, in no way depriving him of the delights of personal creation.
