A major and very influential guitarist for more than twenty years in the field of jazz, John Scofield probably embodies more than any other the breadth of styles that his instrument allows him to embrace. From the sensitivity of blues to the harmonic sophistication of jazz, from the pleasure of funk to the freedom of post-Coltrane improvisation, from the energy of rock to the virtuosities of fusion, from the swing of Wes Montgomery to electronic experimentation, it covers , in a regular back and forth between acoustic and electric, a very vast field of music. Drummer, author, singer, composer, arranger, and dancer... the young prodigy continually enriches his creativity and his practices and it is with this unwavering ardor that he takes the reins of the jam for a few days of the Festival! At Baiser Salé, we take advantage of the summer to spend unique musical evenings at the Estival de Jam Festival. The themes are catchy and will speak to as many people as possible: no need to be a musician to come and enjoy the very special energy of these evenings.
