Through his Quintet, Jean-Philippe Fanfant has decided to reunite with his faithful accomplices, whom he has so often accompanied in return, for an international musical voyage, sailing through sound space and time. This project aims to transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, offering a rich and diverse experience of Caribbean jazz. Each performance is an invitation to explore new horizons and discover the beauty of music without limits... Brought up in a three-generation musical family in Guadeloupe, Jean-Philippe Fanfant draws on a wide range of influences and quickly develops a groove all his own. An ace of Parisian studio sessions thanks to his fine, precise playing, he has played on over 400 albums. Jean-Philippe is convinced that music needs to be decompartmentalized and that musical genres need to interact with each other; he has put this principle to the test in his career, which has seen him working with Julien Clerc, Touré Kunda, Angelique Kidjo, Maxime le Forestier, Bernard Lavilliers, Christophe Maé, Hubert Felix Thiefaine and Louis Bertignac.
