Chameleon artist, essential figure of the contemporary Jazz scene, collaborator of monuments of music in the United States such as Stevie Wonder, Billy Cobham, Frank Zappa or Don Ellis, Glenn Ferris also marked the history of jazz in Europe by rising to the early 90s the legendary quartet “Palatino” with Aldo Romano, Paolo Fresu and Michel Benita. A character as discreet as he is inspired, Alain Jean-Marie possesses the harmonic subtlety, the rhythmic foundation, the love of melodic phrase and the sense of touch which are the mark of great pianists, and clearly distinguish him as a major soloists on the European scene.
In the first part of this concert, you will find the Jérémie Lucchese Group, winner of the Special Jury Prize of the 2024 René Urtreger Prize.
