French-Venezuelan singer and composer Elisa Lécuyer thrives as a storyteller of melodies. Among the many rhythms from both sides of the Atlantic that cling to her ears, she prefers songs that tell stories. She deploys volcanic energy and expansive vulnerability to express her musicality, always in the service of the words of the tunes she performs. Here, she returns to a passion that has inhabited her since adolescence: musical comedy. Although jazz won her over with the freedom of interpretation and intimate self-expression it allows, she has always retained a deep attachment to the theatrical exaltation of musicals, where the characters reveal their inner monologues and share their emotional journeys in song.
