For this last residency date, Eliana invites her dear friend César. Lovers of jazz and French chanson, they met at the Conservatoire around the music of Michel Legrand. Over the course of an evening, they will draw you into their dreamlike, sincere and audacious universe, through their compositions and covers of emblematic artists such as Véronique Sanson, Michel Legrand and Jeanne Moreau, among others.
Born in Venezuela, Eliana Barreto is a singer with a mixed musical background. Eliana discovered music at an early age, her musician father rocking her to the rhythm of Benny Moré's “Bobo de la yuca”. At an early age, she learned to imitate Edith Piaf and La Lupe, her two heroines. Joining El Teatro del Laberinto at the age of 8, theater and music became inseparable for her. Since 2017, Eliana has been based in France, where she continues her musical training alongside her studies of Hispano-American literature, which she uses to fuel her compositions.
Launched in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain program initiated a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies. This framework offers young artists a valuable opportunity to experience the stage, refine their repertoire and present it to the public. This dynamic and inspiring slot celebrates creativity without borders. #BeCurious!
