Olga Amelchenko Quartet Invites Teis Semey

Founded in November 2015, the Olga Amelchenko Quartet is an international group that brings together young, active musicians from the Berlin and Paris jazz scenes. Crossing barriers and borders, they establish lively communication through music and aspire to a multicultural form of expression.

The “bad boy of Dutch jazz”, guitarist Teis Semey (DK), has rapidly made a name for himself in recent years. Whether with the punk-infused avant garde of the Teis Semey Quintet, the folky choral Midnight Mess or the electro/acoustic Raw Fish, his storm-in-the-music attitude has earned him a reputation as one of the most important young names on the European jazz scene in 2023.
