This trio was formed when 3 friends met while studying music. Right from the start, the trio had two main aims: to present a repertoire that revisits arrangements from the great trios that have marked the history of jazz (Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Ahmad Jamal, Oscar Peterson), and to provide a few keys to help the audience appreciate the stylistic and musical differences that can exist between all these artists. And develop a personal aesthetic, lyrical and danceable, inspired in particular by the Soul of the 70s, such as the music of Stevie Wonder or Earth Wind and Fire.
An evening offered in partnership with CMDL
In 2000, musicians Didier Lockwood, Benoît Sourisse and André Charlier, along with director Chantal Charlier, created the CMDL, an institution of higher education dedicated to helping young musicians make the transition to professional life, and to enabling professionals already in the field to develop their careers.
Etienne Parra: bass
