Salmon Saumon

Salmon Saumon is a quartet that is unmistakably jazz and undeniably folk. With subtle virtuosity, the 4 musicians transport the listener into an experience oscillating between bewitching intimacy and explosive moments.

The four musicians met at the Conservatoire National de Paris (CNSM), and joined the Orchestre National de Jazz des Jeunes. After a year of touring, and their studies completed, the musical affinity they developed led them to continue the quartet experience, this time around a repertoire of their own, made up of original pieces as well as covers of songs.

This is how the group was born, around their love of jazz and folk. Driven by a collective desire to fuse their talents, they pay particular attention to the group's sound and energy, rather than to the showcasing of virtuoso individuals.
