After touring the world's stages as a sideman and collaborating with some of the greatest artists, Lukmil Perez takes his turn as lead musician to reveal the full extent of his musical roots and universe.
Surrounded by a top-flight team - Jorge Vistel on trumpet, Alexis Valet on vibraphone and Felipe Cabrera on double bass - the drummer pays a vibrant tribute to his native Cuba.
Lukmil Perez tells the story of a Cuban, proud heir to his country's history, who decides to pursue an international career in Europe.
At the crossroads of civilizations and diasporas, his life is in perpetual motion, like jazz. Surrounded by his companions, he shares his journey and his unexpected encounters, expressed in the language of his ancestors, Yoruba, by “Aierotele Ona - Croisées inattendues”.
Original compositions by Felipe Cabrera, Irving Acao, Jacky Terrasson and Giovanni Mirabassi are united by Perez's intimate story and the great story of Cuba.
Alexis Valet: vibraphone
Felipe Cabrera: double bass
Lukmil Perez: drums
