Christophe Monniot Quartet

"Invited by Denis Charolles to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Musiques à Ouïr with a series of concerts, I rediscovered the magic of the acoustic saxophone-piano-bass-drums quartet with the wonderful musicians Denis, Sophia Domancich and Felipe Cabrera. As a result, I wrote a repertoire for this quartet, influenced by some of its elders, such as Keith Jarrett, Cannonball Adderley or Dave Brubeck, with a few more contemporary, European approaches.
