Ara

ARA creates expressive, intense music in which the unexpected and surprise are the watchwords. The trio's music is born of the fusion between the compositions of saxophonist Simon Riou and the musical worlds of his two friends (Lena Aubert on double bass and Tim Garson on drums). In this human and artistic encounter, the interaction and complicity between the musicians is electric and organic, contagious and communicative for the audience. 
Textural atmospheres derived from improvised music and free jazz come to life in a strong rhythmic anchoring, an intense groove with rock accents, echoing the research of the contemporary jazz scene.
