After an acclaimed tour alongside harmonica virtuoso Olivier Ker Ourio, Ivan Paduart presents an album capturing the essence of this musical adventure begun in 2022. Two of our Club faithful, Benoît Sourisse and André́ Charlier join this project, whose complicitý forged over the years breathes exceptional dynamics and cohesion into this formation.
Having started out in jazz-fusion, Ivan Paduart is one of Western Europe's leading jazzmen. In a short space of time, the pianist-composer has forged a style that has earned him recognition from such luminaries of the genre as Richard Galliano, Tom Harrell, Toots Thielemans and all the other musicians he has worked with in recent years.
Rounding out this exceptional quartet on harmonica is Olivier Ker Ourio, recognized as one of the finest chromatic jazz harmonica players on the planet. In addition to being a much sought-after soloist, he is also a brilliant composer and project leader. In the five albums recorded to date under his name, his compositions reveal a poetic world of lyrical melodies, inventive harmonies and unusual rhythms. Expressive and warm-hearted, his music favors emotion and comes straight from the heart.
