Always perfectly balanced between the effervescence of back-to-school and the last fires of summer, Jazz à la Villette returns this year to one of its jewel cases, the Grande Halle, dedicated in 2024 to the Olympic celebrations. The six evenings programmed in the Grande Halle alone testify to an openness to all forms of jazz and all the music that the genre constantly irrigates: cosmic embarkation with the Sun Ra Arkestra, psychedelic crossover with saxophonist Isaiah Collier, political Afrobeat with Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, soul with Jalen Ngonda, hip-hop with Rejjie Snow or Cuban rhythms with Cimafunk.
