Stephane Belmondo Quartet

D’une certaine manière, Stéphane Belmondo et Kirk Lightsey ont tous les deux été parrainés par Chet Baker. Très jeune, le splendide trompettiste français et héros du jazz hexagonal, fut adoubé par son glorieux ainé, et l’incomparable pianiste américain fut longtemps son accompagnateur fétiche (mais aussi celui de Dexter Gordon, Woody Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, ...). Une rencontre musicale et émotionnelle arbitrée par l’immense batteur Billy Hart (Shirley Horn, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Smith, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Stan Getz, ...). Une première tournée et un album à venir. En tout cas, un concert exceptionnel !
