Her music is a synthesis of different jazz styles, which she expresses through a chromatic range rich in nuance, sometimes exotic, but always free of the clichéd combination of Latin rhythms and North American jazz.
She is without doubt one of the most interesting jazz piano artists of recent years. Her talent, highly original phrasing and improvisational language make her music and style instantly recognizable.
Born in Guantanamo, Jany has built an excellent career in Cuba, where she won the prestigious "Adolfo Guzman" prize and collaborated with artists such as Omara Portuondo, Buena Vista Social Club, Orquesta Anacaona, Alain Perez and many others!
Based in France for many years, she was hailed by the great Chucho Valdés in 2020 for the release of her album "Solo Piano!", and recently attracted the attention of the international jazz scene for her collaboration with John McLaughlin, who also appears on her new album.
