the DISSIDENT club is an intellectual bar/cafe/restaurant. We organize political debates, projections of documentaries, and performances - with a focus on human rights issues. It was founded in 2020 by Taha Siddiqui, an award-winning Pakistani journalist-in-exile. Mr. Siddiqui received the Prix Albert Londres in 2014. Since going into exile, Siddiqui has worked with different international media and he teaches at SciencesPo. In his previous life, he reported for the New York Times, the Guardian, Arte, France24, etc. His first book - an autobiography graphic novel co written with Hubert Maury was published in March 2023 by Glenat, and is called "Dissident Club" - named after the bar.
