Yaya Minté

Following Imany, Ayo and Faada Freddy, the label ThinkZik! is happy to present its new artist Yaya Minté. Yaya was born in the city of Pikine, in Senegal, the oldest of 5 children. An author, composer, and interpreter, he possesses a voice that is far from common. He developed his gift while listening to his grandmother sing him Diaranté lullabies, inventing her own lyrics for him. He arrived in France at the age of 8. While growing up, he was influenced by musical masters like Prince, Michael Jackson, and Aaron Neville. As a teenager he became friends with other passionate musicians, and they went on the road across Europe to showcase their talents. Later on, big names began to open their arms to him. Billy Paul allowed him the opening slot of his concert at the Bataclan, and more recently, Imany gave him the opportunity to open for her at the famous venues of the Olympia and the Casino de Paris. It is in these Parisian theaters where Yaya's musical universe, full of depth and great emotion thanks to a musical mix between soul and pop, has begun to be discovered. Yaya has a deep desire to touch his audience with positive messages, along with a very special voice which profoundly touches the heart and the soul.
