IRAKLI AND THE LOUIS AMBASSADORS - Tribute to Louis Armstrong
As part of the festival: Longjumeau Jazz Fest

As part of the Longjumeau Jazz Festival

For many years, Irakli has made us live his passion for Louis Armstrong.

It was at the age of 16, listening to St James Infirmary recorded in 1928 by Louis Armstrong, that Iraqi (his name became his stage name), was attracted by jazz and had no more only one wish: to have a horn to play in the language of the "Master" he had just discovered. Moving from the horn to the trumpet, Irakli followed step by step the career of this "Professor by interposed discs" to end up recreating the famous All Stars. He was surrounded by the best specialists of the genre on each instrument. A must ! Incumbent on the life and work of the great Satchmo, he is also the only one to get closer to the game, the style, and especially the sound of Louis Armstrong. He pushed the detail to buy a trumpet rigorously identical to that of Louis: same mark, same year, and same series of manufacture!
