After a solid classical and contemporary flute training, Emilie Calmé also studied bansuri in Bombay with Indian flutist Hariprasaad Chaurasia, a rich experience that strongly influenced her in playing and composition, but for the first time. album "flute poetry", accompanied by musicians of the most inspiring of the moment, she chooses to revisit standards. To appropriate a work, to dig the finesse is an artistic process in its own right that requires rigor and passion common to this 4tet. From Coltrane's ballads to Bud Powell's bop melodies, from Tony Murena's waltzes to Alain Jean-Marie's biguines, each piece tells the flute a story between the real and the imaginary in a totally dreamlike world.
