Powered by a relentless energy and an unlimited love for swing, Christian McBride, the huge bassist integrates jazz at all levels.

At barely 18 years old, he played in Freddie Hubbard’s quintet.

The virtuous chameleon has a sense of swing appreciated by the people.  His collaborations are impressing and show his eclecticism: Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Joshua Redman, but also James Brown or Sting. The native of Philadelphia is today one of the most requested, recorded and respected musicians of his time.

“Situation” is the result of a happy accident. Monterey Jazz Festival, 2007: members of the group are forced to cancel their participation at the last moment, McBride improvised a new formation with musicians present at the festival. Exit the drums, put on the turntables to the voice and the piano for a trip in the funk galaxy !
