Hugo Dumoulin "Interplay" Quintet

"Interplay", led by pianist Hugo Dumoulin, explores the musical universe of the Great American Songbook. The name of the band and its make-up are a reference to a great album of pianist Bill Evans on which he invites Freddie Hubbard and Jim Hall to join him in giving a new color to his music. Inspired by the amazing freshness of these sessions of 1962, Interplay transposes the same musical concept today in order to arrange original compositions and reinvent the great standards of the jazz tradition.
