Amazing guitarist, Lionel Loueke has performed with masters Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter. From Benin where he was born and started jazz, to Paris and Boston where he trained, he distills a musical universe of great richness and fundamental cheerfulness, with a warm and evocative sound that is clean.
With an exceptional voice, which covers four octaves, Somi follows in the pure tradition of the great jazz and soul singers. The American, of Rwandan and Ugandan origin, composer, author and performer, subtly mixes African sounds with her jazz. Some say she would be the new Nina Simone!
Clélya Abraham is the pianist with Caribbean influences to absolutely follow. She thrives in Jazz, Nu Soul and World Music thanks to the freedom given by improvisation. For this jam, she surrounds herself with musicians she met at the CMDL.
