At the Baiser Salé, we take advantage of the summer to spend free and festive musical evenings at the Estival de Jam Festival, from July 17 to September 2, 2021, every evening from 9:00 p.m. More than a simple concert, the jam is an opportunity to discover outstanding musicians, to see them having fun improvising together. It is the feeling of participating in a unique moment. One hour of concert lays the foundations and launches the theme of the evening in homage to an artist then a jam takes us until the end of the night.
Considered the best bebop singer, Sarah Vaughan possesses precise and easy vocal projection, regardless of register or tempo. His vocal technique allows him register jumps of a rare amplitude.
Coming from a rich musical and cultural mix, the universe of Virginie Côte is imbued with jazz, blues, Latin, Brazilian, African and soul colors. Great vocal abilities, mastery of improvisation, a warm and bewitching voice at maturity in his art which will be sublimated by the play of the 4 excellent musicians who accompany him including the pianist, composer and arranger Franck Monbaylet (best film music with Sylvain Chomet at the Beijing Festival for "Attila Marcel"; composer by Véronique Sanson, Serge Lama; musician by Abd Al Malik; creations with Vicente Pradal of "Llanto", "Pelleas y Melisanda" and "La nuit obscure" (prize of l 'Charles Cros Academy))
Since the 90s, the jam sessions of the Baiser Salé have been the scene of improvised and generous evenings where the whole of Paris of all jazz meets and meets again. The high-perched club on the rue des Lombards has lost count of the moments of magic, encounters and discoveries that have marked these three decades.
