SpringBok is a four-legged animal that knows no boundaries. Tough, slender, fast and elegant. Pleasant to watch but difficult to catch. SpringBok likes to evolve in free spaces.
The historic saxophone/trumpet tandem and the organ/drum rhythm evoke the great hours of modern jazz. Hard-bop, post-bop, new thing or contemporary jazz. This quartet offers an original and singular repertoire open to the world.
SpringBok proposes a lively and warm jazz, where breath, melody and groove hold an important place. A music that is both demanding and accessible, performed by four close-knit and committed musicians. 
SpringBok is the renewed version of the Bounce project, a band led by Matthieu Marthouret from 2012 to 2018. A renewed quartet formula initiated after five years of sustained activity: numerous concerts, two albums and an EP recorded.
