It is a small house in the Sarthoise countryside from which "I'm a Fool to Want You" escapes, this eternal standard signed by Sinatra in 1951, masterfully covered by Billie Holiday seven years later. "Choosing a song like that with so much emotion, so much soul, was quite a challenge," explains Astrid Veigne. Just like paying homage to two emblematic figures of jazz, Nat King Cole, crooner and pianist with an amazing swing, and Billie Holiday, eternal diva with a melancholic and contagious blues.
For the past two years, the four musicians of March Mallow, with their rich and varied experience, have been coming together with the desire to rediscover the soul, the organic sound, the simplicity and the sincerity of 1940s jazz. A real immersion in the authentic atmosphere of New York clubs!
