As part of the 5th edition of the CZ Festival, the Quint'Up invites Baptiste Herbin, saxophonist elected musician of the year by the Jazz Academy in 2019, influenced by Maceo Parker, Coltrane or Ravel. Baptise has a fresh sound that caresses the ears… The intangible duo formed by pianist Mario Canonge and bassist Michel Zenino joins forces with the most talented musicians of the young generation to form a high-flying quintet, combining jazz, Caribbean and Hard Bop.
A jazz one can’t be more refreshing, anchored in tradition, modernism energized by the talent of the young performers completing the quintet: Ricardo Izquierdo, Josiah Woodson and Arnaud Dolmen. Mario Canonge and Michel Zenino, more symbiotic than ever, hold the ensemble of masters' hands, thanks to custom-made compositions and arrangements.
