Young Greco-Congolese singer, Monika Kabasele presents a project with a multicultural sound. The repertoire, a mix between the Greek tradition and the Congolese tradition which merges with jazz.
Inspired by the term “Afrofuturism”, the name of this project describes the search for connections between African roots and Greek roots. The goal is to develop an artistic personality that presents itself in the future and enters into dialogue with new technologies and futuristic jazz, with an open mind to Métis music and new identities.
Accompanied by virtuoso pianist Dexter Goldberg and two remarkable musicians, Cyril Drapé on double bass and Malte Arndal on drums. A colorful evening!
