Selene Saint-Aime

"A star has appeared in the French jazz galaxy: Sélène Saint-Aimé…”; these are the first words of the full page that Liberation's newspaper devotes to the very young double bass player with an incredible trajectory.

Between the ages of 15 and 20, she attended the Django Reinhardt Festival, scratched the guitar a bit, "met" the double bass, enrolled at the Boulogne conservatory, met Steve Coleman, followed him to New York, traveled, skimmed the jazz clubs… In 2020, she played at two of the most beautiful jazz festivals in France, Nancy and La Villette.
