Sophie Alour is a leading saxophonist and composer on the French jazz scene. She received the Django-Reinhardt Prize for the best French jazz musician from the Académie du Jazz for the year 2020 and her latest album JOY is nominated for the Victoires du Jazz 2020 in the category "best album of the year"!

She will be at the ECUJE with a new programme, Le Temps virtuose.

Time shapes, transforms and reveals the artist to himself, it is an essential element of the artistic process. In this new opus with a title close to an oxymoron, Sophie Alour maliciously pursues her quest for herself, free of any idea of performance. From hard rock to baroque, via pop or Malian accents, she twists and mixes the codes of all these musics with poetry and humour.

A concert not to be missed in partnership with TSF JAZZ !

Sophie Alour - tenor saxophone
Pierre Perchaud - acoustic guitar
Guillaume Latil - cello
