Today, Alex Swing Events presents LINK, the new project of four of the best musicians on the international jazz scene: Tony Tixier, Alexis Valet, Luca Fattorini and Francesco Ciniglio. The press is enthusiastic: France Musique quickly supports the project while Télérama observes that they have found "the right balance between tension and relaxation". The four musicians come together to explore a format dear to the legendary Bobby Hutcherson, a piano-vibraphone-double-bass-drums quartet, an ideal format for the rhythmic and melodic explorations of which they have the secret. They offer us here a repertoire of personal compositions, which draw on the aesthetics of contemporary African-American music. Bold improvisers as well as a high-flying inventive rhythm punctuate this colorful painting. For tonight LINK invites the incredible Italian tenor saxophonist Francesco Geminiani.
