Nina Gat

For this second residency date, Nina Gat invites Laure Sanchez and Roman Reidid to share the stage. Having met during their joint studies at CMDL, Nina and Laure began playing together in 2019, in both traditional acoustic and modern electric jazz formats.
They are working on a new project with Roman Reidid in 2020, and the idea of playing as a trio is building up in parallel. The trio performs compositions, covers, and arrangements with modern jazz, chanson, pop and folk influences, with elegance and minimalism. This intimate formation explores different textures and expresses precise ideas, the palette widens with the proposals of the guest of the evening: Julien Roger on drums. New #JazzDeDemain artist, Nina Gat talks about her residency: "What I'm really happy about with this residency is the fact that I'm able to experiment with a lot of different projects in situation, to test ideas and formations that I've had in mind for a while (...) I'm also very happy to be able to play with the musician friends I've met in Paris over the last two years, from the CMDL or not, and I can't wait to share good moments on this beautiful stage, in this iconic venue! #BeCurious!
